Hi, I'm Melissa

Victims Services NSW, Redress Scheme, Private Health, Work Cover, Sira Provider

I offer trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and neuro affirming counselling for adults across Australia via telehealth.

Whether you're exploring counselling for the first time, or you're ready to take the next step, you're in the right place as I am here for people seeking meaningful and grounded support.

Sessions are compassionate, confidential, and guided at your pace. I work with people navigating complex trauma, parenting, relationship, and family challenges.

About Me

As a clinical counsellor with over a decade of experience in mental health and community support. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of life experiences, including mental health challenges, carer stress, disability, domestic violence, and complex personal or relational issues.

My approach is client-centred and grounded in the belief that each person is the expert in their own life. I support you to define your own goals, and together we’ll shape a path forward that feels aligned, manageable, and empowering.

I bring warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s story. Creating a space where healing, insight, and growth can safely unfold is at the heart of my work. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your relationships, or your family, I’m here to meet you with compassion and care.

I offer counselling for people of all ages from individual sessions, couples counselling, or family-based support. My practice draws from a range of evidence-based therapies to tailor support to your needs, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Trauma-Informed Care (TIC)

  • Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Whether you’re looking for tools to navigate a current challenge or seeking space to explore something deeper, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

Core Trauma Therapy is grounded in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive practice. We acknowledge the unceded lands on which we work and live, honouring First Nations sovereignty and supporting ongoing Land Back movements. We stand against all forms of violence, discrimination, and genocide, and commit to practicing care that centres dignity, liberation, and safety for all people and communities.
