How do I know if I am ready for counselling? You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to counselling. In fact, many people start when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what they need - just knowing that something isn’t quite right. Some signs you might be ready: You’re tired of carrying something alone Have something specific you have experienced You’re curious about understanding yourself more deeply You’re struggling with specific challenges (grief, trauma, relationships, identity, etc.) You’re noticing patterns you want to shift You’re simply wanting support and a safe space to unpack or talk things out. Starting counselling doesn’t mean you’re broken, it means you’re ready to explore, heal, and grow. We go at your pace, you don’t need to have the right words, and bringing all the messiness is encouraged. Just showing up for yourself is a great first step.
-
Do I need a referral or mental health care plan?No referral or mental health care plan is required to work with counsellors, and there are no limits to the amount of sessions you can attend.
