What is Therapy?
Therapy is a collaborative and confidential process that offers a safe space to explore what’s going on in your life; emotionally, mentally, or relationally. We offer a professional support service with clinically registered counsellors, designed to help you work through challenges, build insight, and move toward the life you want to live.
Whether you're navigating trauma, stress, grief, identity, relationships, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can support you to make sense of your experiences, process emotions, develop coping strategies, and reconnect with your strengths.
At its core, counselling is about growth, clarity, and healing - offered through a respectful, compassionate relationship where you’re truly seen and heard.

Our Values & Commitments
At Core Trauma Therapy, our work is grounded in trauma-informed, client-centred, and anti-oppressive principles. We recognise that trauma does not occur in isolation, and is often shaped by broader systems, including experiences of inequality, displacement, and structural harm.
We acknowledge that we practise on unceded Aboriginal land, and we honour the ongoing strength, resilience, and sovereignty of First Nations peoples.
We are committed to providing care that is culturally responsive, inclusive, and grounded in respect for all identities and lived experiences. This includes recognising the impact of systemic violence and injustice, both locally and globally, and holding awareness of how these realities may shape the lives of those we work with.
As a practice, we strive to:
-
provide care rooted in cultural humility, accountability, and ongoing learning
-
create a space where people feel safe, seen, and supported
-
affirm people of all identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences
-
work in ways that are responsive to both individual and collective experiences of harm
We believe that healing is deeply personal, but also shaped by the world around us. Our aim is to offer a space that honours this complexity with care, integrity, and compassion.
